Things I learned yesterday
Yesterday, I helped out with an event that my company was sponsoring & helping to put together and I have decided to share all that I learned yesterday
1) My GPS thinks that I can go through a gated community to get to my destination. Yes, that may be faster, but the gate guards say no.
2) The fitted cocktail table covers are evil. Pure evil. (= SUPER hard to get on sometimes)
3) People who cannot remember other people's names should probably not go to events. I remember maybe...3 people's names. I am really that bad.
4) The only shoes I can wear for a long time are my sneakers and my Rainbow flip-flops. The shoes I wore (more professional than my 2 super comfortable shoes) are comfortable for a good while, but I wore them from about 8:30am - 9:30pm-ish. And from 10:30 on I really only sat down at lunch, so I was standing all day long, really. My feet hurt when I went to bed, when I woke up and they STILL hurt!
5) You have to have an eagle eye if you want to track down the guy with the chicken skewers & mango salsa. He's hard to find.
6) I am not the only one who cannot walk in high heels well. A LOT of the women who came to the event last night were in high heels, but a few of them looked just as wobbly as I feel when you look at their shoes/ankle area. They may pull it off up top, but they are WOBBLING!
Umm....I think there was more, but those are the highlights! =D
