Rudolpha?

I saw this on someone's Facebook. Awesome.

=D On a similar note, at Disneyland in the back they had reindeer over the Christmas season. I don't know if they normally do, but it wouldn't surprise me because we so rarely go over to that section anyways and I honestly don't know why we were walking over there then...Anyways, they were smaller than I expected (I was thinking horse-size, but they were like a small pony I guess) and SO CUTE! I want one for a pet. No, seriously. I'm sure a reindeer would love to be my pet. I weight a lot less than Santa! =D hehehe

Miscellaneous Things from NYC

So, here are just a few things from my recent trip to NYC over Christmas...

We (my sister & I) stayed with my cousin, who lives in Brooklyn, so we hung out over there a lot (whereas when we've been to the City before, we never really went there). My cousin recommended this place, and it was great! It's called DuMont Doughnut, and they make made-to-order donuts, as you can sort-of see in the top picture. Literally, you say what kind you want & how many you want and she (or whoever's behind the counter I guess) drops the dough into the machine and does all of that stuff by hand (if you've ever been to Krispy Kremes and watched them make donuts, it's a lot like that but on a smaller scale and the machine doesn't do everything). Their coffee was French-press and it was all very good! Yummm

I saw this, and we were actually right there when it happened. I just think the ad is funny.

I knew that Starbucks had done a few city cards, but I hadn't seen one until I went there. The NYC card is super pretty, too!

Just a side note, here is my sister's guinea pig, Chester, enjoying the Christmas present I got him (the foraging box with hay and other nutritious stuff).

A little out there, but I would so go for it!

I just read this article about a French dietician who thinks that France should implement a Baccalaureate that students can earn by maintaining a healthy BMI.

Pierre Dukan, the nutritionist behind the popular but controversial Dukan diet, has suggested that France tackle child obesity by giving extra exam marks for slimness.
Dukan, who has sold 8 million copies of his diet book worldwide, made the proposal in a 250-page book called 'An Open Letter to the Future President', which he sent out on Tuesday to 16 candidates for France's presidential election.
The plan calls for high school students to be allowed to take a so-called "ideal weight" option in their final year exams, the "baccalaureat," under which they would earn extra points if they kept a body mass index (BMI) of between 18 and 25.
Those already overweight at the start of the two-year course would score double points if they managed to slim down over a period of two years.
"It's a fantastic motivator," Dukan told Reuters.
"The baccalaureat is really important in France. Kids want to get it, their parents want them to even more, so why not get them to work together on nutrition?"

I really don't think this is a super good idea because it just adds too much pressure and can lead to more problems (increased bullying) for overweight kids. It's super risky. But personally, I would totally go for that. Maybe even gain a little weight first so that I could get extra points...I know, not in the spirit of the proposition, but honestly I wouldn't really need to gain that much.

On another note, I saw these at Target over the holidays. It's a very interesting idea, but I wonder how they sold. Red Velvet Chocolate Milk and Chocolate Mint Milk. It just sounds weird. I mean, I like peppermint mochas, so the Chocolate Mint Milk sounds a little bit less weird and at least it's still brown like chocolate milk, but it's still unusual. But Red Velvet Chocolate? Not sure how I feel about it. I mean, it's red. And Red Velvet is really chocolate cake dyed red anyways, so is it just red chocolate milk or did they add a cream cheese flavoring into it to remind people of the cake frosting? Hmmm
