We (my sister & I) stayed with my cousin, who lives in Brooklyn, so we hung out over there a lot (whereas when we've been to the City before, we never really went there). My cousin recommended this place, and it was great! It's called DuMont Doughnut, and they make made-to-order donuts, as you can sort-of see in the top picture. Literally, you say what kind you want & how many you want and she (or whoever's behind the counter I guess) drops the dough into the machine and does all of that stuff by hand (if you've ever been to Krispy Kremes and watched them make donuts, it's a lot like that but on a smaller scale and the machine doesn't do everything). Their coffee was French-press and it was all very good! Yummm
I knew that Starbucks had done a few city cards, but I hadn't seen one until I went there. The NYC card is super pretty, too!
Just a side note, here is my sister's guinea pig, Chester, enjoying the Christmas present I got him (the foraging box with hay and other nutritious stuff).
