I just came back yesterday from a trip to Ireland, England & Wales. I am way too lazy to actually post all of my pictures (I took 548 photos, so...be happy), so you can see a good number of them if you're my Facebook friend, if not...too bad so sad. =D Here are just a few pictures:
This is from the top of a castle we visited in western Ireland. We took a day trip from Dublin to the western coast. I don't remember exactly where this was, and I don't feel like going upstairs to looking it up, so...yeah.
Also from our day trip in Ireland. These are the Cliffs of Moher.
Again, during the day trip. This is called the Burren (I think). Pretty cool place.
We went to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. I don't really like beer, but I decided to try it anyways because you get a free pint with admission. So gross. I will stick with my martinis, thank you. And Irish coffee...or Bailey's coffee...
In London, we went on 2 Harry Potter tours. One in London, and another one that went to Lacock and Oxford. It was really cool to see the film locations and to learn about how they changed things for the film. These are the stairs that the first years took to the dining hall in Harry Potter 1.
YEA!!! So, the main point of the trip was to see HP7pt2 in London. Conclusion: we Americans are much more excited and enthusiastic about HP movies. I didn't go at midnight, true, but when I did go (still on opening day) no one was dressed up, only me & 2 other people had HP-themed t-shirts on...well, it was interesting all the same. I want to re- see the film, though, because the seats were so close to the screen (you know those seats in the front that everyone avoids? That's pretty much the entire theater there, (0r at least in the one we went to) and the seats didn't lean back. In essence, a bad time to have 3D too).
