Well, I just got a smaller SD reader (also good because my other card reader can't read them anymore...at least with my computer), so I have some pictures so I can blog with pix!
1) Mix-Up
So, apparently, what I thought was the Seaside Inn (remember? it was one of the top 10 dirtiest hotels in the US) was actually not the SeaSide Inn. This is a very hastily taken photo of part of the Inn that's actually on the list:

(Hastily taken because I was in the car). So, yeah. This was not the one I was thinking of. I think that I thought the Riviera Beach hotel was the Seaside (it has somewhat better ratings, but still not great. ). The actual Seaside does look somewhat sketch....
2) Intro to SoCal
Some of you readers are people who do not live in SoCal and do not seem to understand where I live, so...here we go.

The above to pics are of San Clemente from a look-out point (it was raining then, so sorry about the gray-ness and low visibility). This isn't even all of it. It extends pretty far to the right of the pictures as well as pretty far behind where I was. It covers 2 zip codes. So you see, it isn't really a "small town" compared to "small towns" in rural areas like Vermont, but it's not a city either.

These are our freeways. Now do you see why I think Route 7 is more of a road? It's one lane each way! That is NOT what I think of as a highway or a freeway. That is a road. THESE are freeways.

One of my main shopping centers (as in, for groceries & Starbucks. The Starbucks is behind me and I thought it might be weird to take a picture of it as people were sitting outside and everything....). Oh, the palm trees. I miss them so much when I'm in Vermont. "Regular trees" just don't measure up.

Ahhh....home. =D

Capo Beach is not actually in San Clemente, but close enough. (This is where those previously mentioned hotels are. They're on PCH which runs right by this beach)
Don't you wish you could be in CA right now instead of in VT where it's too cold to snow?!?
3) Stuff

For Christmas my super-awesome sister got my one of the reusable cold cups from Starbucks. It's the greatest thing ever. If ever they go on sale again, and you like cold drinks, get one! =D

I tried the Jamba Juice oatmeal today. It's actually pretty good. It took a while to get there though. On Wednesday, they have a $1 oatmeal promotion. So I tried to go on Wednesday. All out. So I decide to go on Thursday. All out. They apparently make the oatmeal in pretty small batches. Dear Jamba Juice, you should consider making LARGER batches because not all people would try for a THIRD time. Most other people would simply accept the fact that it will always be out and will simply get a blueberry oat bar when they're at Starbucks getting their morning chai (which would have been the case for me if they'd been out today too).
