My life for the next 4 weeks...

...will be non-existent. It's sad I know. Why? I'm taking a class called MiddCORE. It's sometimes called "Business Boot Camp." My school doesn't have a business major or any business classes, really, except this one, which is on the newer side. Apparently this is it's 4th year, but I'm a senior and I've never heard of it before, so....yeah. Anyways. I think it will be very valuable and will teach me a lot, but it will consume my life all the same. Today's schedule: 9-12:30 class. 1:15-4:30 class. 6:30-8:30, mandatory dinner. And of course, my schedule (which is usually somewhat shorter, I suppose, and FORTUNATELY has weekends free) does NOT include the time needed to work on our case studies and proposals and other miscellaneous stuff. My life. Fortunately, it's actually pretty interesting, and the second segment was mostly leadership games or whatever they called them. They were games that show you business and leadership principles (like communication) and things like that. During this time, I learned something very interesting. People don't cross their arms the same way. Seriously! Cross your arms. Which arm is on top? Mine is the left arm. The class was pretty much evenly divided between left-over-right and right-over-left. It feels weird to do it the other way. So I was thinking about how there are weird little things like that that are so different. Like how you count to 10 (or down from 10) with your fingers. Or which leg you put forward when someone pushes you (supposed to tell you which way you should orient your snowboard?). So very interesting. That's what I learned today.

So now you're thinking: 9 hours of class for THAT to be your big discovery?!?!?! Well, I learned other things too, but that seems the most interesting for my blog. I promise to do better later. And I promise to blog on my Hong Kong trip eventually...
