Week 1: DONE

So, I finished the first week. HALLELUJAH! I don't think I could survive even 1 more day and stay sane. Fortunately, I have the rest of today, all of tomorrow and all of Sunday (well, I have readings to do for class on Monday, but they may be skimmed. That's bad, I know, I know. But that's life. I need enough of a respite to endure another week of practically 9am-11pm workdays. I normally like to do homework before class, but at the price of my mental health? Hmmm...not so much). Looking back at it though, it was an interesting week. I learned...

*the whole thing about how people cross their arms (see previous entry)

*That my leadership style is "Stabilizer." There are 4 leadership styles (according to...whoever came up with this system): Directors, Stabilizers, Persuaders & Analysts. My class was pretty evenly divided between the first 3 (we had no Analyzers, interestingly). We Stabilizers like to avoid conflict and please everyone. True enough. (vs. Directors who are the more traditional image of a leader, or Persuaders).

*I am a INFJ who is sort of an ISFJ (my "N" was slight- about 2pts away from the center). It's funny, now I have a tendency to think about what letter someone is/ is acting like at any given moment. I think "oh, that person is SUCH a P!" and things like that. Fun stuff)

*Some people are super driven to win. I know that we all know people who pretty much insist on winning, but I don't think I've seen such a group of such people who seriously want to win before. I mean, we all like to win. But often, my goal is to not lose, rather than to win (meaning if there are 5 groups, I don't want to be in 5th place, but I don't care if I'm in 1st place or not. Not so with a good number of my classmates). Maybe it's from being a language major with pretty much no winning or losing, really.

If I think of more, I'll let you know...
